Bradley B. ["Brad"] Young
Chief Technology Officer and Information Security Officer
Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc.
 

Brad is the Information Services Division (I/S) principal responsible for providing focus for strategic technological positioning of the information and communications systems and for the security posture of the CAMC Health System and its operating subsidiaries.  Brad also provides related support to affiliated external health information networking activities and related organizations, through his involvement in the state and national HIT initiatives.  Brad is also involved in various performance improvement initiatives at CAMC.

Brad has a Master of Science in Information Systems with a minor in management, and about thirty years of experience in managing information and communication technology in the banking and health care fields.  He also holds the Certified Computing Professional designation from the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals.

Humberto Quintanar
CIO
Antelope Valley Hospital

Humberto Quintanar is a Senior Level IT Executive with over 24 years of experience. He has developed a broad and diverse knowledge base across several industries, including technology, healthcare, public utilities, petroleum, communications, banking, travel, manufacturing and entertainment.

Quintanar served as CIO in a major manufacturing and importing environment and at a software development company with multi-national locations. He has also held senior management-level positions in two of the "Big Five" consulting groups, at a major software development firm, at IBM, and most recently at Washington Mutual, where he was a senior level vice president in charge of the technology solutions group's vendor management.

Quintanar has experience in the development of enterprise business strategy, the implementation of enterprise change management and in business processes reengineering. His record includes steering companies through merge integration while taking a leadership roll in technology development, implementation and rollout.

Quintanar is bi-lingual and fluent in Spanish. He has taught courses at UCLA in project management. He has a master's degree in information systems, a BS in computer science and a BS in accounting. He also holds various certifications including IBM Certified Executive Program Manager and PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Richard W. Kubica
Managing Director – CTO, IS Infrastructure
Hartford Hospital

Rich is the Chief Technology Officer at Hartford Hospital. As CTO, he is responsible for all the computing, network and telecommunications facilities and he has IS architectural overview for Hartford Health Care Corporation. Rich has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut. Rich also has an MBA from Northeastern University’s Executive MBA program. Prior to working in healthcare, Rich spent 23 years at Northeast Utilities. Rich is a Fellow in HIMSS, and a past president of the New England Chapter. On the national level he is the Chair of the Fellows Committee and a past member of the Health Information Exchange Steering Committee and the Enterprise Information Systems Task Force.
