XCHANGE '09

Channel @ Work

The Channel @ Work projects give members of the VAR community, vendor organizations and Everything Channel employees the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate. Below is a list of Channel @ Work initiatives taking place at XChange '09.

Channel @ Work: Future Tech Leaders Program
Everything Channel has partnered with The Framsyn Initiative, an organization striving to stimulate economic growth and development by providing students the opportunity to pursue an IT Career with certification and training prior to graduation.  They are provided with a 21st century approach, enabling them to compete for jobs in the current Global Market.

Students will be attending XChange ’09, following a dedicated agenda over the course of 2 ˝ days. Agenda consists of IT certification classes provided by sponsoring vendors, hands on workshops where the students will build their own PCs, study sessions, a game night social function, plus multiple opportunities to attend and participate in vendor/general sessions.

Channel @ Work: Dress for Success
Everything Channel has partnered with Dress for Success, an organization promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

For the XChange ‘09 conference we have asked all women attendees to bring a piece of clothing with them to the event; all clothing and monetary donations will be given to Dress for Success during the Women in Technology Reception being held on Wednesday, August 19th. Members of the Dress for Success Washington D.C. affiliate will be joining the reception to speak with our audience on how their contributions will make a the difference to the disadvantaged women in the D.C. area.

Along with a reception dedicated to the Women in Technology, the agenda also consists of content sessions dedicated to Women in Technology, addressing key issues that women face in the workforce today.
